Cultured freshwater prawns offer higher protein and nutritional value.
The study looked at the nutritional content of wild and farm-raised giant freshwater prawns. They found that both types of prawns had good levels of protein and carbohydrates, with farm-raised prawns having higher amounts. The researchers used a method called AOAC to analyze the prawns' protein, fat, carbohydrate, ash, and moisture content. The results showed that the feeding conditions influenced the nutritional value of the prawns, but overall, there was no significant difference in nutritional value between wild and farm-raised prawns.
