Paddy farmers in Hutagaol Peatalun Village faced high costs and low production due to excessive chemical fertilizer use. To address this, they started using harvest waste as organic fertilizer through composting. The goal was to reduce fertilizer expenses and increase farmer income. By teaching farmers how to compost harvest waste, they were able to make their own organic fertilizer, reducing the need for costly chemical fertilizers. This approach helped farmers understand the process and improve their knowledge of utilizing harvest waste as organic fertilizer.
