Soil management practices in Ethiopia improve soil quality and crop yields.
The study looked at how different ways of managing land affect the soil in a specific area in Ethiopia. They divided the land into three parts based on how steep it was and looked at cultivated, fallow, and woody areas with and without soil bunds. They found that soil quality varied depending on the slope and land use. Woody areas had the best soil quality, while cultivated areas had the worst. Soil quality was also better in areas with soil bunds. Overall, the study showed that land management practices can have a big impact on soil health.
