Paper Summary

The researchers compared different formulas for calculating crop evapotranspiration in Shanxi Xiao He region. They found that the FAO-56 Penman-Monteith formula and Hargreaves-Samani formula had high consistency, while the Priestley-Taylor formula had larger errors. By using the FAO-56 Penman-Monteith formula and Hargreaves-Samani formula, they were able to provide more accurate evapotranspiration data for the region, even when some meteorological data was missing. The correlation between actual and fitted values was good, with a correlation coefficient of 0.90.
