A study compared disc and chisel ploughs on soil properties. Chisel plough had higher field capacities and soil moisture content, while disc plough had better field efficiency and lower fuel consumption. Both ploughs reduced soil bulk density and increased soil porosity. Particle density was not affected by either plough. Disc plough had a higher infiltration rate compared to chisel plough.
