A Czech company has been working to diversify the country's sources of crude oil by building a new pipeline and storage terminal. They have connected to a major European pipeline and plan to make changes to the existing pipeline that brings oil from Russia. The new pipeline, called MERO-IKL, was finished in 1996, helping to increase the supply of crude oil to the Czech Republic.
