The report presents a detailed analysis of sediment and nutrient flow in the Daly River catchment. Using models to estimate sediment and nutrient sources, transport, and deposition, the researchers found that the catchment exports around 503 kt of fine sediment per year. By calibrating the model with observational data, they were able to accurately predict erosion rates, tributary contributions, and floodplain deposition rates.
