The Pelareh Dairy Industry in Iran has a wastewater treatment plant that was evaluated in this study. The researchers measured seven quality parameters in the wastewater samples and found that the plant did not effectively remove suspended solids and organic matter. The removal efficiency of BOD 5, COD, and TSS was 89.22%, 88.79%, and 71.72% respectively. The pollution load of the effluent wastewater was determined to be 15.71 kg/day based on BOD 5. Overall, the treatment plant was not efficient in removing pollutants from the wastewater.
