Trade liberalization and advances in technology have made it easier to trade producer services globally. This type of trade now makes up a significant portion of total world trade. Despite efforts to liberalize services trade, progress has been slow and barriers still exist. However, research shows that opening up producer services trade can have positive economic impacts.
