Decoupled subsidies drive up land prices in rural Poland, impacting farmers.
Land prices in rural areas of Poland are influenced by factors like land use values, amenities, and public goods payments. A study analyzed 653 land transactions from 2010-2013 to understand these drivers under the SAPS system. Results show that single area payments impact land value more in peripheral areas, while payments for public goods decrease land value as they do not offset alternative rent opportunities. The study used different models for various rural areas to identify location-specific factors affecting land prices.
