The article presents a new algorithm for better image segmentation using a method called 3D Otsu's thresholding. By improving the way regions are divided based on image properties, the algorithm provides more accurate results with clearer details. The new approach reduces the time needed for segmentation by about 80% compared to traditional methods, making it faster and more efficient.
