Biomass energy resources are abundant worldwide, coming from various sources like palm oil EFB. Each type of biomass has different energy content based on its chemical makeup. By analyzing palm oil EFB, it was found that one ton can be converted into 0.18 m3 ethanol or 0.968 GJ power, equivalent to 1429 kWh and 269 kWh energy, respectively. Different biomass conversion processes exist, each suited for specific energy needs. The key takeaway is that selecting the right conversion process is crucial for efficiently turning biomass into the desired energy form.
