A new way of planting rice called the triangle pattern with a specific ratio of male to female plants can produce the highest seed yield for a new hybrid rice combination called Qiyou 894. This planting method results in more effective tillers, longer flowering periods, and a higher rate of seed production from the female parent. By using this planting pattern, a seed yield of 301.2 kg per 667 square meters can be achieved for Qiyou 894.
