Urban stormwater runoff is a big problem for water quality and sustainable development. Water sensitive urban design offers a solution by managing stormwater in a more eco-friendly way. This approach goes beyond just moving water quickly. It's proven to work well and we already have the tools to do it. But in Australia, it's not being used widely because of obstacles and negative views. To make progress, we need to understand the issues and barriers that affect how well we manage stormwater in cities. By figuring out what's stopping us, we can make urban stormwater management more sustainable.
