Effluents from brewery conduits in Benin City and Ikpoba River water were tested for various parameters. The effluent had high levels of pH, TSS, TDS, BOD5, and Phenol, indicating pollution potential. The river water also showed high values for many parameters, exceeding drinking water guidelines. The study suggests that both the effluent and the river water may not be suitable for non-drinking uses due to high levels of pollutants.
