Zinc Protects Bones from Cadmium Poisoning in Rats: Study Shows
Long-term zinc intake can protect bones from damage caused by cadmium poisoning. In a study with male rats, different doses of cadmium were given along with zinc, and blood samples were taken over 60 days. Results showed that cadmium increased certain bone-related factors, but zinc helped decrease these effects. Overall, zinc can help prevent bone metabolism issues caused by cadmium poisoning.
