The article introduces a method to identify modules in product design using a design structure matrix. By analyzing the relationships between components, the algorithm helps find better product structures. A cost function evaluates the quality of modules, with an additional function to improve accuracy in selecting modules. The method was tested and found to successfully identify optimal modular partitions. This approach can be used in product design to cluster components, organize design parameters, and streamline development processes.
