Breakthrough Treatment for Deadly Lung Condition Discovered
The scientists wanted to see if L-Arginine could protect against lung damage caused by a substance called LPS. They conducted their experiment on rats, divided into different groups. Some rats received L-Arginine before being exposed to LPS. They checked various things like oxygen levels in the blood, lung moisture, and levels of a substance called TNF-α. They found that L-Arginine helped improve oxygen levels and reduced lung damage caused by LPS. Also, TNF-α levels were lower in the L-Arginine group. This suggests that L-Arginine might be useful in protecting the lungs from harmful effects like those caused by LPS.
