Image segmentation is a complex process used in various applications. A new method was developed to segment images by combining region growing and thresholding techniques. By analyzing pixel intensity and selecting the best threshold, the method outperformed traditional region growing in terms of accuracy. The method was particularly effective for images with dark backgrounds and bright objects.
