The researchers studied how adding rice straw to terraced paddy fields affects rice production. They tested different methods in Keji Village, Semarang District, and found that using Improved Technology with Rice Straw led to higher rice yields compared to other methods. The grain yields were significantly improved due to heavier grains, more grains per panicle, and more filled grains per panicle. By incorporating rice straw into the soil during land preparation, soil quality can be improved, leading to better rice production.
