The study looked at how changes in land use affect vegetation in Xilin Gol Grassland. Using satellite data and mapping software, researchers found that vegetation coverage in the grassland has been gradually decreasing from east to west, with the eastern region having slightly higher coverage than the western region. However, overall vegetation coverage in the grassland has been increasing over the past 15 years. This suggests that land use planning and ecological protection efforts in Xilin Gol Grassland have been successful in improving vegetation coverage.
