Revolutionizing Hybrid Rice: Genetic Traits Boosting Yield and Quality
Genetic variability is important for improving crops. In this study, 125 parental lines of hybrid rice were analyzed to understand genetic parameters. Traits like seed yield, tillers per plant, and panicle weight showed high variability. Some traits, like plant height and seed yield, are mostly influenced by genes and can be improved through selection. This means that these traits are controlled by specific genes and can be targeted for improvement in hybrid rice breeding programs.
