Rapid Urban Sprawl Threatens Sustainability and Quality of Life Worldwide
Cities are growing rapidly, with half the world's population living in them. This poses challenges for creating sustainable cities that balance economic, social, and environmental needs. Urban sprawl, where cities spread outwards, is a common issue. Many big cities don't meet sustainability goals due to this sprawl. To address this, we need to focus on efficient resource use, public transportation, green spaces, and renewable energy. Developing countries are particularly affected by urban sprawl.
