Malaysia's 30% Women in Decision Making Policy Boosts Quality of Life
Women in Malaysia are being encouraged to take on more decision-making roles in government, with a goal of at least 30% representation. A study was conducted to see if this policy is helping empower women and improve their quality of life. The researchers surveyed 500 women in key government ministries and found that factors like welfare, access, awareness, participation, and control were linked to better quality of life. Access was the most important factor. The 30% policy was found to strengthen the connection between women's empowerment and quality of life.
