Dominant tree species Monotheca buxifolia shaping biodiversity in Pakistan forests.
The study looked at different types of trees in a forest in Pakistan at different heights. They found that one tree species, Monotheca buxifolia, was the most common in all areas. Other species like Olea ferruginea and Acacia modesta were also important in some places. Ficus palmata was rare. The number of trees varied from 110 to 304 per hectare. The diversity of species was highest at 1370m and 1555m. Some areas had mostly one type of tree, while others had a more even mix.
