The article explores how human and social capital impact innovation and economic performance in different countries. By analyzing data from the World Development Report and World Values Survey, the study created indicators for human and social capital. These indicators include factors like life expectancy, education, trust, and civic behavior. After testing various models, the study found that countries with higher levels of human and social capital tend to have better innovation and economic performance. This suggests that human and social capital play a crucial role in driving innovation and economic success on a national level.
