Revolutionary Wetlands Clean Textile Wastewater, Solving Water Pollution Crisis
Textile wastewater can pollute water sources, worsening water scarcity. Traditional treatment methods are costly and underused. Researchers tested a simple, cost-effective system using constructed wetlands to treat textile wastewater. They ran experiments with different plant densities and water flow rates. Results showed that a 3-day water flow rate was effective in removing pollutants like COD, turbidity, and color. Plant density also influenced pollutant removal. Overall, the constructed wetlands performed well in treating textile wastewater.
