A new grating spectrometer system was created to check the accuracy of an acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF) spectrometer. The researchers compared the emission spectra of a lamp using both spectrometers and found that the grating spectrometer's results matched well with the manufacturer's data and the AOTF spectrometer's results.
