Effective communication between crisis response organizations and the public during crises is crucial, but many barriers hinder this process. A systematic literature review found that technological, organizational, and social barriers make it difficult for all parties involved to communicate effectively. The goal was to understand how communication occurs during different phases of a crisis and to identify areas for future research to improve communication in crisis management.
