The international financial system had problems before and after the global financial crisis. The rules for financial regulation and global stability were not good enough. After the crisis, the G20 countries agreed on better policies and gave more money to the IMF. They also made changes to the financial rules and the IMF's role. The IMF helped with the euro zone crisis, but didn't do well with Greece.
