Optimal Sulfur and Boron Levels Boost Soybean Yield and Quality
Soybean plants need sulfur and boron to grow well and produce good quality beans. A study in northeast India tested different amounts of sulfur and boron on soybean crops in acidic soil. They found that using 40 kg of sulfur and 1.5 kg of boron per hectare gave the best results. This combination increased soybean yield by 57.4% compared to no fertilizer. It also boosted protein and oil content by 28% and 33%, respectively. This shows that adding sulfur and boron together can greatly improve soybean growth and quality in acidic soils.
