Lake Wabu in the Huaihe Catchment is slightly polluted mainly due to agricultural and domestic sources. The water quality was evaluated using data from 2011 to 2015, showing Grade Ⅳ pollution levels. The worst pollution was found in the Zhuangmu River, influenced by nitrogen and phosphorus from agriculture. It is important to improve the overall water quality in the basin and control agricultural pollution to protect the environment.
