A new control mechanism called "Portfolio Strategic Control" has been developed to manage project portfolios in a strategic way. This approach combines portfolio management and strategic management to improve portfolio performance. By aligning objectives with organizational strategy, managing resources, risks, and opportunities, and adding flexibility and learning, this method prepares portfolios for future challenges.
