New Study Finds No Significant Increase in Pregnancy Rates with LH Supplementation
The study compared the use of two different hormones, rh-LH and hMG, in women undergoing IVF/ICSI treatment. Both groups had similar outcomes in terms of oocytes collected, fertilization rate, and embryo production. The ongoing pregnancy rate was slightly higher in the rh-FSH + rh-LH group compared to the rh-FSH + hMG group, but the difference was not statistically significant. The cost of the hormones was also similar. This study suggests that supplementing recombinant FSH with rh-LH does not significantly increase pregnancy rates compared to hMG, but more research is needed to confirm these findings.
