The study looked at how suction negative pressure affects coalbed methane extraction. By using a computer model, researchers found that reducing suction pressure can increase methane concentration. They also discovered that the effect of suction pressure weakens over time. To improve methane utilization, a new method of extracting methane through parallel boreholes in groups was suggested.
