EU Integration Not Key for FDI In Transition Economies, Study Finds.
The EU integration process may not always lead to more Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in transition European economies. The study looked at 16 countries over 13 years and found no clear link between FDI inflow and EU accession. It suggests that countries can still benefit from FDI without being part of the EU, as shown by Kazakhstan's success with institutional development and local content policies.
