New plant bio-regulator combo boosts kiwifruit yield and quality! 🥝🌿
Researchers studied the effects of different plant bio-regulators on 'Allison' kiwifruit yield and quality. They tested CPPU alone and with GA3 and 2,4-D on fruit dipped at 2 and 3 weeks after bloom. The best results came from using 5 ppm CPPU + 60 ppm GA3 + 15 ppm 2,4-D, leading to higher fruit yields, larger fruit sizes, and better quality grades. This treatment also increased sugar content and improved fruit quality over multiple harvests. After storage, fruits treated with this combination had higher sugar levels and lower acidity.
