Researchers used LiDAR technology to study offshore winds at different heights near a wind farm. They found that the stability of the atmosphere affects how wind speed changes with height. In stable conditions, the wind speed was overestimated due to the boundary layer height. By considering this height, a more accurate wind profile was obtained.
