The article compares different methods for predicting the strength of pin connections in waste-to-energy processing. Smaller companies often use Special-Purpose Programs (SPPs) due to cost and time constraints, rather than Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The study focuses on comparing the accuracy of predictions made by these methods for a specific connection involving securing pins between steel boards. The goal is to provide designers with reliable information for evaluating similar connections. The comparison considers material parameters, types of loading, evaluation criteria, and results.
