The study looked at how a chemical called dihydroasparagusic acid affects the growth of pea plants. They found that soaking pea seeds in this chemical slowed down their germination process. However, once the plants grew to the stage of producing flowers, there were no noticeable differences between the treated plants and the untreated ones.
