Feeding male Arabi lambs ad-libitum boosts weight gain significantly
The study looked at how different feeding plans and weaning weights affect the growth of male Arabi lambs. They split the lambs into two groups: one group could eat as much as they wanted, while the other group had a restricted diet. They also divided the lambs based on their weaning weights. The results showed that lambs who could eat freely gained more weight than those on a restricted diet. Lambs with a lower weaning weight gained more weight than those with a higher weaning weight. Lambs with a medium weaning weight also gained weight, but not as much as those with a lower weaning weight. The amount of food the lambs ate followed a similar pattern.
