Corporate Social Responsibility Boosts Company Value, Governance Not a Factor
The study looked at how corporate social responsibility affects the value of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with a focus on how good corporate governance plays a role. They found that corporate social responsibility does have a significant impact on company value, but factors like management ownership and board structure did not moderate this relationship. The researchers used data from 70 companies that met specific criteria, and their results suggest that being socially responsible can positively influence a company's value.
