Climate and Topography Key Factors for Optimal Vegetation Growth in Africa.
The study looked at how climate and topography affect where plants grow in the Virunga Volcanoes Massif in Africa. They used satellite data to analyze factors like temperature, rainfall, and elevation. The results showed that plants grow best at lower elevations and in shady areas. Temperature and evapotranspiration were more important for plant growth than rainfall. Overall, elevation, aspect, temperature, and evapotranspiration are the main factors that determine where plants grow in this area.
