Optimal boron and zinc levels boost chickpea yield for higher harvests.
Chickpeas grow better with boron and zinc fertilizers. A study tested different levels of boron and zinc on chickpea growth and yield. The best results came from using 3 kg of boron and 4 kg of zinc per hectare. These levels led to the highest total dry matter and seed yield. Boron had a significant effect on total dry matter and yield attributes, while zinc had a significant effect on total dry matter and almost all yield attributes. The combination of 3 kg of boron and 4 kg of zinc per hectare is recommended for better chickpea growth and higher yield.
