Greenhouse gas emissions drive global warming, but strategies can mitigate climate change's impact.
Human activities produce gases that impact the environment, especially carbon dioxide. The more we develop industrially, the more of these gases we create, affecting global climate. This study focuses on how fast these gases are released into the air. They look at past CO2 emissions and trends from burning fossil fuels. Future climate changes depend on how fast we emit these gases and our efforts to remove them from the air. The article is split into two parts, with Part I exploring current emission rates and long-term trends, while Part II will discuss future emission scenarios and strategies to tackle climate change.
