The TRAPPIST-1 system was studied using a 3D climate model to see if its planets could support life. The inner planets are too hot and dry, while the outer planets are too cold and icy. The middle planet, TRAPPIST-1e, has the best chance of being habitable with the right mix of gases in its atmosphere.
