The article analyzes the potential of hydropower in Podkarpackie Voivodship. It looks at how hydropower is currently used in the region, including the power generated and the rivers involved. The study also considers existing and planned water reservoirs for hydropower development. Various case studies on hydropower plants are discussed, along with identified problems in hydropower development. The analysis shows the theoretical power that could be installed in the main rivers of each county, taking into account environmental and technical factors. The research highlights communities with the best conditions for hydropower. Planned and potential investments in hydropower plants are also discussed, along with the energy potential of the main rivers in the region. The study estimates the power that hydropower plants could generate based on environmental conditions.
