Developed regions in China lead in energy efficiency, impacting resource-rich areas.
The article analyzes energy efficiency in different regions of China from 2010 to 2014. By using a three-stage data analysis model, the study found that environmental factors and random errors affect energy efficiency. Developed regions have higher energy efficiency compared to undeveloped or resource-rich regions. Low scale technical efficiency is the main issue in inefficient regions. The study categorizes regions into four types based on their energy efficiency characteristics and suggests different energy strategies for each type.
