A system was tested to reduce pollution in stormwater from cities. By using a settling process, the system removed a lot of dirt, phosphorus, and nitrogen from the water. The amount of rain and how hard it rained affected how well the system worked. The system was able to clean up a big part of the pollution without needing extra power or chemicals. This shows that simple settling can help clean up dirty water from cities.
