The study looked at how professional internal auditing practices in hotels in Thailand can affect the survival of the business. They found that when internal auditors are more professional, it helps the business stay afloat. This professionalism includes things like following best practices, having a strong moral compass, being aware of audit responsibilities, and caring about stakeholders' needs. The study used a questionnaire to gather data from 125 internal audit directors or managers in business hotels. The results showed that when internal auditors are more professional, it positively impacts the survival of the business.
